Toronto First Aid encourages you to take a first aid training class to be prepared for any accidents or situations needing immediate first aid. Your knowledge could easily save someone’s life.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the core focus of the CPR training courses. BLS is a set of guidelines created by the American Heart Association and the workplace approved that focuses on update techniques and steps undertaken in providing emergency care to person suspected of having a cardiac arrest. After a person collapses and cardiac arrest is suspected, the emergency response system is immediately started with hard and fast chest compression followed by the application of an automated external defibrillator (AED). AED’s are designed to recognize irregular rhythms of the heart and help guide the rescuer through CPR and, if neccessary, shock.
