CPR Training in San Francisco CPR is the best you will find in California. We offer students quality programs for BLS and ALS training, even during evenings and weekends. Credentials are valid for two years once you receive them from our provider, and they can be renewed for another two years if you sign up for re-certification training before they expire. All our programs are certification programs, but the program for the public is an optional certification program. Training programs: BLS – Basic Life Support
Heartsaver CPR/AED with first aid
Trainees: general public

Curriculum: teaches trainees basic CPR skills on adult victims (one-person rescue), how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and simple first aid skills like bandaging.

Credentials: Given after a post-skills test (optional)

Trainees: healthcare providers, students in healthcare
Length: 4.5 hours, 1 day
Curriculum: same as Heartsaver CPR/AED with first aid for the general public

Credentials: Given after a practical and written exam (mandatory)
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Trainees: Healthcare providers
Length: 4.5 hours, 1 day
Pre-requisites: pass the pre-test
Curriculum: teaches basic CPR skills, first aid, and use of AEDs, two-person rescue, 2010 BLS guidelines from the American Heart Association
Re-certification: 4 hours
Credentials: Given after a practical and written exam (mandatory)
Training programs: ALS – Advanced Life Support
These programs are mainly for healthcare professionals such as nurses, medical technologists, therapists, and the like.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Trainees: healthcare professionals
Length: 16 hours, 2 days
Pre-requisites: BLS for healthcare providers credential, pass the pre-test
Curriculum: basic CPR skills for rescuing an adult victim in a clinical area, use of the crash cart (equipment such as bag valve masks, manual defibrillators), pharmacology for adults
Re-certification: 5-6 hours
Credentials: Given after a practical and written exam (mandatory)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trainees: healthcare professionals
Length: 14 hours, 2 days
Pre-requisites: BLS for healthcare providers credential, pass the pre-test
Curriculum: basic CPR skills for rescuing an pediatric* victim in a clinical area, use of the crash cart (equipment such as bag valve masks, manual defibrillators), pharmacology for pediatric patients
Re-certification: 6-8 hours
Credentials: Given after a practical and written exam (mandatory)
*pediatric patients are people younger than 18 years of age

The website also has an online application form that trainees can fill out with personal information and details regarding their chosen program and schedule, as well as any special requests. However, students will still need to drop by in person before the start of training to complete any paperwork as well as settle all training fees.
